Custom Recording Studio & Specialty Build in Sidney

Conceptualized by Carly Neal and Dashwood Designs, the Henry Ave Recording Studio project was a highly customized specialty build in Sidney, designed around music, craftsmanship, and creative use of space.

At the heart of the project is a soundproof upper-level recording studio, created as a dedicated space for music, recording, and creative work. The studio also includes a performance stage with integrated cable troughs, allowing the space to function beautifully for both live performance and recording.

The lower level includes a fully equipped workshop with a car lift, creating a practical space that reflects the owner’s interests and everyday use. PHC completed the custom foyer and staircase, setting the tone for the project with detailed craftsmanship from the moment you enter.

Throughout the studio, custom lighting, bespoke fixtures, and carefully selected materials help bring the design together. The project included a concrete sink, custom light fixtures, Pronautic metal-door cabinetry, Decora tile and brickwork, and a reclaimed wood wall by Hammer and Nails.

PHC’s custom beam work added warmth and structure to the space, complementing the overall design and giving the studio a strong, personal character.

Every detail was tailored to the owner, a musician with a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, function, and unique design. The finished space is now home to Wrecking Crew Studios, a Sidney-based recording and creative studio.

This project is a strong example of the custom work we enjoy most: detailed, personal, highly functional, and built around how the client wants to use the space.
