A Hands-On Approach To Building

Hi, I'm Paul Hofmann. I'm a Red Seal Certified Carpenter and the owner of Hofmann Construction, a family-run residential builder based in North Saanich serving Greater Victoria, Oak Bay, and the Saanich Peninsula.

I take a hands-on approach to every project and stay actively involved from start to finish, working closely with homeowners, designers, trades, and our crew to make sure projects are well managed and built properly.

My love for building started at a young age. I was always drawn to working with wood the grain, the craftsmanship, and the satisfaction of creating something with your hands.

Before my father passed away, he encouraged me to pursue carpentry and helped me get started with one of Victoria's top custom home builders. I completed my apprenticeship there, earned my Red Seal certification, and later worked abroad in Germany, Australia, and New Zealand, experiences that shaped how I approach construction today.

Seeing how people build in different parts of the world taught me that homes can be built smarter, more efficiently, and with long-term durability in mind. Over the years I've developed a strong interest in energy-efficient construction, Passive House principles, and high-performance renovations that improve comfort and performance without losing sight of craftsmanship and design.

At Hofmann Construction we've built a friendly, professional team of journeyman carpenters, apprentices, and trusted tradespeople who care about doing things properly. We value clear communication, collaboration, and building good relationships throughout the process.
