Heritage Home Renovation
This Oak Bay heritage renovation focused on updating an older home while preserving the character and craftsmanship that made it special. The goal was to improve function, comfort, and everyday use without losing the original charm of the space.
One of the first challenges was the kitchen floor, which had a noticeable six-inch discrepancy. Our team levelled the floor to create a solid, accurate base for the rest of the renovation work.
From there, the focus shifted to both function and detail. We worked with Pronautic on custom cabinetry that brought practical storage and a refined finish to the kitchen. PHC also completed ceiling coffer details, adding depth and architectural character to the room.
A key part of the project was protecting the historical integrity of the home. Custom millwork and trim were carefully matched to the original details, allowing the new work to blend naturally with the existing character of the house.
Planning and design management by Jodi Foster helped guide the project and bring the details together. The result is a thoughtful heritage renovation that respects the past while making the home more functional for modern living.
